Meet the Team
The People Powering Gifting Sense...
Are parents, financial literacy champions, and professionals—invested in a future where every child leaves school ready to make thoughtful, informed spending choices.
Karen Holland
Founder, Board Member & Parent
Karen founded Gifting Sense, drawing on the spending wisdom her mother passed down to her — wisdom she later passed on to her own family. Trained as an economist with a background in risk analysis, she holds a Master's degree in Economic History from the University of Toronto and an Honours BA in Economics from Queen's University. What drives her, twelve years in, is watching young people discover that pausing, gathering information, and reflecting before they spend is a habit worth keeping — and a tool for shaping their future.
